Technical Apprentices Program

PROGRAM DATES: 2024 Summer Program, July 14 – July 28

​

The Technical Apprentice Program provides a variety of experiences in both technical and non-technical disciplines. During the program, you will gain a good overview of the business through a variety of work placements. These will see you working and supporting the stage works.

​

Student must submit a portfolio of past stagecraft or technical theater projects/experiences. If a portfolio cannot be provided, a letter of reference from a current or recent technical theater instructor or supervisor must be provided.

Student must also provide a short narrative of why they are interested in the experience and what they seek to learn.

​

CREDITS: Central Piedmont Technical Theater Students are able to earn one course credit for their apprenticeship. For more details contact Ashley Lam at ashley@operacarolina.org

PROGRAM PRICES:

$3500 includes two-week hotel with a double room, breakfast, but does not include airfare and meals. Apply Now

IN USA: $3500 includes two-week hotel with roommates, breakfast, but does not include airfare and meals  (Arrive in Charlotte at the Airport (CLT) June 16 and depart from Charlotte July 1)

IN ITALY: $5000 includes 3-week hotel with roommates, breakfast, but does not include airfare and meals  (Arrive in Italy at Venice Marco Polo Airport (VCE) July 14 and depart from Venice July 28)

​

IN USA & ITALY: $7200 includes five-week  hotel with roommates, breakfast, but does not include airfare and meals  (June 16 - July 1 / July 14 - August 4)

All participants pay their own travel, meals and insurance.
