Ensemble Program Italy

​

The International Lyric Academy is celebrating 30 years of success by partnering again with Opera Carolina. In 2024, the ILA will offer two intensive programs, one in Italy, Vicenza and  one in Charlotte, NC. 

Students will be offered a unique life experience and the possibility to perform in both countries, including special bundled discounts and scholarships.

This is a wonderful program for young and emerging artists. Singers work with Maestro del Coro to prepare ensemble parts in The Magic Flute. In addition to the full performances, stagings, rehearsals, costuming, and production craft are all part of the ILA experience. Singers participate in weekly vocal lesson, Italian language class as well as have multiple opportunities to participate in master classes. Solo performance opportunities are available at the weekly Florilegium or Grand Gala Concerts. The first payment due is when you are accepted and the second payment due May 15, 2024.

AUDITION REPERTOIRE: Singers: Two Italian arias or art songs. One piece must be sung in Italian; a second piece in Italian or in another language of your choice.

LYRIC CONCERTS: Opera, Lieder, Chansons and Musical Theatre

OTHER OPPORTUNITIES: Beethoven, Symphony #9, Lyric Concerts.

 

Singers benefit from repertoire and diction coaching, Italian language instruction, master classes, acting, training for auditions, and career strategy.

IN ITALY: $4900 includes 3-week hotel with roommates, breakfast, but does not include airfare and meals  (Arrive in Italy at Venice Marco Polo Airport (VCE) July 14 and depart from Venice August 4)

IN USA & ITALY: $7200 includes five-week  hotel with roommates, breakfast, but does not include airfare and meals  (June 16 - July 1 / July 14 - August 4)
