Youth Academy

​

Summer is the perfect time for young singers to experience focused, immersive vocal training*. Now in partnership with the 30 Years successful International Lyric Academy, the Youth Academy’s Summer Workshop offers an immersion like no other program! Join us for 2 weeks of learning and performing led by internationally acclaimed instructors and top university faculty.

The program’s curriculum includes:

- private lessons

- master classes

- repertory

- coaching

- elementary stage combat

- physical expression

- care of the voice

- more

 

For select students, participation in concerts, opera scenes, and fully staged operas will be offered (requires an extra week of participation).

*Prior opera experience is not required to participate in the Workshop or in the recital.

LOCATION: Central Piedmont Community College - Central Campus (Elizabeth Avenue)

WORKSHOP AUDITION & ENROLLMENT: New students must audition/apply and be accepted into the program before they may register. Auditions are held both virtually and in-person.  Please complete the Application Form to set your audition.

 

Previous Workshop participants may register immediately for the 2024 Workshop and do not need to audition. Please contact the Academy Coordinator to register if you are a returning student.

AUDITION REQUIREMENT: 

- Completion of the Application form

- 2 pieces performed – must be classical, art song, or musical theatre (no pop songs), contrasting styles & languages preferred if available

PROGRAM PRICES:

IN USA: $3800 includes two-week hotel with roommates, breakfast, but does not include airfare and meals. Apply Now
